For the past six months, I have enjoyed teaching English online to children located throughout China.  I implement my lessons using Power Point slide presentations, a web cam, and an internet audio service. I began this most recent phase of my career to determine how I might put my educational background and business experiences to work as an independent contractor in the field of online education

Before joining the world of online education, I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for three years in the Henrico County Public Schools system.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a customer service representative for approximately ten years for a large health insurance company.  So, I understand the "language of business"  and the language needs of business people.

I am a life-long learner myself and have always thought that education is best approached with a healthy curiosity and a good sense of humor. My natural friendliness and creativity support my ability to be adaptive to my students needs and resourceful in determining ways to engage my students.
