Amy

Amy is a Canadian living in Holland and is currently learning her third language, Dutch; French being her second. She is a graduate of St. Thomas University and majored in psychology and sociology. After graduation she worked as a professor’s assistant and had several other jobs where she took the role of teacher. For example she taught babysitting courses, anti bullying and the law presentations, and trained new staff in customer service work.  During these work experiences Amy knew she wanted to teach more! So in early 2009 Amy took a course on Teaching English as a second language, and currently doing a correspondence course in Teaching Business English. Her teaching philosophy is that the teacher must adapt their teaching methods to the learning style to the needs of their students. Amy strives to make learning fun, interactive, and to keep the students interested and motivated. She is patient, creative, and personal. She is excited to use her teaching experience and her experiences learning other languages to help others learn English.
